my 2nd trip to bintan... its my heaven... beaches and sun...
None of wat rumors ppl spread... i.e. dirty beaches, horrible plc, etc. i do agree that its kinda expensive t shop there... well, after all its kinda very commercialize... its a tourists place of interest, of cos u will expect the expenditure to be high. If u wan cheap shopping paradise, head batam town resort, or bangkok, where most tourists went there for shopping... well, its BEACH resort, so the only best things is the BEACH... lovely sun and beautiful which u can nv find in anywhere of singapore, jus forget abt sentosa, its nth compare to oversea's beach resort... check out the pics i had taken...

Our room... we took Nirwana Beach Club, its more of a chalet style... as mention, its a BEACH CLUB, hence all sea sport activities are held here~! no beautiful swim pool, bath tubs and big king-size bed.... dun expect too much from here... but i'm happy enough cos its a last min booking... Thanks to Linda from Holiday Bagus, she give her reservation to me! else i can forget abt gng... :)

We reach there at ard 7pm local time, therefore no more sun... we jus jus in the dark and hunt for dinner...
The bloody chao cha bo from the beach club cause us to miss our bus to pasah oleh oleh (where the central market is, food are cheaper over there)... of no choice, we settle down at beach front resturant at nirwana resort, a 5 min walk away from our place. its cost us a bomb, a BBQ buffet with a bill of SGD$100 for two... hmmm... not tat ex... but i'm not prepare to spend so much on food~ anyway, the food is good... no doubt... at least better den the dinner i took at the level 2 bistro...
after the dinner, we walk to nirwana resort pool side and have a good chat... jus relax & enjoy... and stroll by the beach while we make our way back to the room... beach club have night party gng on at their very own pub by the beach... a small open air mini disco place... so if u're heading to bintan, may try walking to the beach club at nite as other resorts like nirwana and mayang sari will be kinda quiet during the nite... but u can always choose to stay in the room to watch ch 8, ch 5 , ch u, all the local tv channel... haha... BEH SIAN MEH?! forever~! OMG~!
The next morning we had schedule our day...
of cos we started off with the usual in-house free breakfast...
The morning beach... i miss it so much...
get change and get ready to get crazy~ too bad... there's only 2 of us, i can't take pic of our sea sport activities... anyway, we did kayaking... almost the same as cannoe but i can't picture out the diff.... my 1st time doing that... haha... my hands are so so tired lor... but its damn fun... haha.... cost us $18 for 2 person ride for an hr... have a short break and we head for the jet ski... when i insisted... haha... bloody ex, $45 for 15min, but i had nv tried b4, so i *fuck care ah! haha...

very fast, time out, we hurry for our mangrove day tour...
While on our way to the reception area, we spot a monitor lizard walking on the small lake which leads to the pond next to the rooms... no kidding, this lizard is bigger den those we saw at the mangroove forest...

Shortly after we reach the counter, the resort personnel took us to the mangrove plc...

1st we came to this stone, the fisherman there worship this rock, as during the high tide period the stone that is half emerge into the water make it look like a crocodile... hence the ppl believe that this rock which they known as crocodile god will bless them with more fishes and gd harvest...
The Kelong... 3 families actually stay by the river and they fish to earn their living....
The charcoal hives, the black colour thingy are all charcoal, this hive is formerly use for production of charcoal but now no longer in use...
the guide claim tat this is 'titanic'.. -_-! spot the heart with the arrow~! faint...
This trip really remind me of geography study during my sec 3 times... and yeah... the mangrove tree do eliminate the extra salt out from their 'body' naturally... the guide gave me a pc of the tree leave and can see bits of salt on the leave surface... i taste it... its salty... haha
Thru'out the journery, the guide intro us to all the different roots of mangrove trees, i.e. knee roots, breathing roots, etc. and one tat totally AMAZE me was... hmmm...
'standing roots' or something... he root will jut out of the water surface to catch the oxygen...
when i saw this, i keep laughing to myself... cos...
Dun u think it look like million of cocks standing on the water... wahahahahaha.....
end of my mangroove trip...
We went back to our 'house' after the trip to wash up and have a rest b4 heading to pasah oleh oleh...
Grab myself a pc of sarong, a shirt and a full body massage... but not fantastic at all... :( ah bao got himself a foot reflex but he dun enjoy it either.. i still prefer the uncle @ far East... ;p and... we have miss the dinner... :(
Head back to 'chalet', grab a thin crust pizza from the pub while listening to their live band singing R&B, nice wor... can really sing quite well... unlike the one i heard at Devils (they turn r&b into slow song, probably cos they can rap or wat)...
Back to the room, wanted to have some beer (cos i bought hoegarden @ DFS) in the room before joining the night party at the beach bar... but was too exhuasted... very fast i fall aslp....
Our last day @ bintan... i went to change my departure time, instead of 3.30pm, i change to 7.30pm... haha... as usual took the in-house breakfast den head back to resort and have a nap before check out at 1pm... after check out, we left the lugguage with the 'chalet' and continue enjoying our beach day... suntanning and swimming...
Is it the beach jus so beautiful...?! we even pick up some seashell and coral... :) remind me of my younger times when dad & Mum will bring mi & sis to beaches and pick sea shells...
The sea water is jus so clear... we even saw small fishes... nice...
